A road trip up the coast for the Thanksgiving holiday wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Outer Banks.  Fortunately, a South swell with offshore winds was in the forecast...

After a day of small scale South windswell and overcast conditions, conditions picked up into the head high to occasional overhead range, the sun came out and the winds went offshore...

making the decision to head out to the Cape totally worthwhile...
